Living Room

The lounge or lounge room or sitting room is most commonly known as the living room, this is where guests are usually received and entertained. As in a hotel, it functions like the reception area where the guests check in. But other than a place for receiving or entertaining guests, the living room is the usual location where the homeowners do their reading, studying, watching television and other activities.

The mood and feel of the living room would really depend on the concept the owners of the house chose. Some would infuse modern designs to classically designed living rooms or they would give a modern and radical design a touch of class and timelessness. There are even living rooms that would serve as guestrooms for guests sleeping over.

A living room will come in second to the bedroom in terms comfort, since a lot of people will be staying in it. Every detail would count for a living room to become comfortable to stay in and cosy as well. For instance, it should have sufficient lighting, ventilation and most of all space. Although there are more factors that you have to consider, lighting, ventilation, space and comfort should be on top of your priorities. Without these, a living room would just be a room that no one would like to stay in.
